Advanced Therapeutic, Sports, and Clinical Massage
The advanced massage program at The Praxis Institute consists of 750 clock hours of instruction and practice. This includes the delivery of 115 massage services and the completion of three types of massage therapies, deep tissue, neuromuscular, and pathological. Advanced massage students are prepared to complete either the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) or the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB) licensing exam (MBLEx).
Dental Assistant Program
Our dental assistant school at The Praxis Institute consists of 900 clock hours of instruction and practice. This includes 120 hours performing an externship. Through working with community dentists, students gain experience and are provided networking opportunities for future employment. Dental assistant program graduates are provided a three-year period in which to apply for and complete the National Entry Level Dental Assistant (NELDA) exam.
Therapeutic Massage Technician Program
The therapeutic massage technician program at The Praxis Institute consists of 540 clock hours of instruction, which includes the delivery of 60 hours of massage services and the opportunity for massage therapy certification. This healthcare certificate program provides students with an excellent background in the theory and practice of massage therapy. Upon completion of these hours, students will be prepared to apply for their Florida State License and complete the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).
Pharmacy Technician Program
The pharmacy technician school at The Praxis Institute consists of 900 clock hours of instruction, which includes 390 hours of externship. This healthcare certification program is accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). Students in the pharmacy technician program learn about many aspects of the pharmacy industry, including how to assist community pharmacists, insurance billing procedures, and detailed knowledge of tasks related to medications.
