Advanced Massage Therapy
Students who participate in the advanced therapeutic sports and clinical massage program gain the required proficiency to broaden their careers as massage therapists. The program consists of 750 hours of theory, practice, and clinical instruction. Once students complete 540 hours, they can take the exam administered by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). Furthermore, students must conduct 115 or more services to fulfill applied clinical training requirements.
Earning a diploma from the Advanced Massage program opens many doors for students, enabling them to find work in spas, salons, medical environments, hotels, and gyms. However, it also exposes people to non-traditional job opportunities. For example, some massage therapists become physical therapists, athletic trainers, rehabilitation counselors, and instructors at beauty or cosmetology schools. Some even set up private practices to serve select clients and offer specific services.
Massage Therapy Certification
Therapeutic Massage programming is the less intensive counterpart to Advanced Massage. It gives students the essential theoretical understanding and practical experience to perform various massage therapy services and increase their employment opportunities after graduation. This therapeutic massage technician program comprises 540 hours of instruction and a minimum of 60 services for applied training.
While the massage therapy certification does not feature all the same coursework as the advanced massage therapy program, it still gives students the proper qualifications to sit for the NCBTMB exam. Therefore, these students have similar job and advancement opportunities.
Dental Assistant
The 11-month dental assistant program provides students with the clinical and administrative competencies needed to attain entry to industry-level positions. It contains 900 hours of coursework, including 120 hours of externship to gain practical experience in a real-world dental setting. This program is approved by the Dental Assisting National Board, Inc. (DANB), allowing students to apply for the National Entry Level Dental Assistant (NELDA) certification exam when they graduate.
Pursuing a dental assistant occupation may seem limited since many people follow the same path of working at a private dentistry practice. However, the career offers individuals several opportunities for advancement, as well. Consider the following jobs that can stem from a dental assistant role:

Pharmacy Technician
