For 25 years Elisa has been a leading educator for LMT, OT & PT serving on several college Medical Advisory Boards and Guest Lecturer. Her International MLD Certification program is hosted on college campuses and is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the first Bi-lingual MLD Certification program on a college campus in the U.S. located in Miami, FL.
On the campus or at convention, she has been a presenter at World Massage Festival, AMTA, FSMTA, Premiere Day Spa Show, Florida Occupational Therapy Association, Vyne Education, Elite, CSFA National Conference, Mid-West International Spa & Salon, Florida Association of Health Care Givers CNA’s to name a few.
Today, Elisa and her medical advisory board’s focus is on teaching about expanding MLD markets working with professional athletes and the NFL, cosmetic surgery MLD, pregnancy, pediatrics, and autoimmune anomalies. Her courses cover the latest research revelations designed to pass the torch of knowledge to the next generation for future lymphatic breakthroughs—the next big story!
A comprehensive must have course for professionals introducing them to the history of MLD and it’s Founder, Dr. Emil Vodder and subsequent spread to the United States through Dr. Robert Lerner. The Tour continues with an introduction to the Anatomy & Physiology of the Lymph System in a fun and interactive format. The hands-on lab instructs attendees how to perform a 50-minute full body basic protocol. Next, the class will have an overview of pathophysiology, indications, contraindications, assessment tools and conclude the tour with a compression garment lab discussing the latest in lymph wear seen on T.V. and professional athletes.
