How Long Does it Take to Complete an Associate Degree in Healthcare?
Two associate degree programs are offered at The Praxis Institute. They require a commitment to learning and study, as well as a desire to assist patients as they regain and develop important life skills and abilities. Occupational Therapist Assistant
The Occupational Therapist Assistant program consists of about 1,870 clock hours (75 credit hours) of instruction. We provide flexible scheduling, with many of the courses taken online. This program is offered at our Hialeah, Florida, campus. Graduates are eligible to sit for the national certification exam administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Further certification and license requirements vary by state.
Physical Therapist Assistant
The Physical Therapist Assistant program consists of five semesters, and students complete 73 credit hours. Several classes in the first two semesters are offered online. This program takes place at our Miami campus. Graduates are eligible to sit for the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE). Further certification and license requirements vary by state.
